The OneFive Sendai

Convenience stores are right beside the hotel, and there are cheaper parking lots nearby since the hotel’s own parking is pricey. The location is excellent, and the place feels newly renovated or built, with everything in good condition. Rooms are clean and bright. Reception staff speak fluent English. There are two washing machines and dryers every two floors, which is handy. Great value overall.

The hotel is in a central but quieter area, with a large supermarket across the road. The rooms are larger than usual for Japan, and mine had air conditioning I could adjust myself. There’s a microwave, vending machines, and washers and dryers. The staff were very nice, and I’d come back.

The convenient location is still quiet, and the rooms are roomier than usual. Huge windows with wooden panels make them feel really cozy. Easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan so far.

For the price, this hotel is hard to beat. I was surprised, though, that the front desk couldn’t arrange luggage shipping. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan offered that service. I could send it through Yamato myself, so it was manageable, but it still feels like a basic service at most Japanese hotels.
