Really good.

A good hotel right in the city.

The staff were kind and polite, which made for a pleasant stay. Breakfast came as a set meal rather than a buffet, and the Western-style option we chose was nicely balanced and tasty. Drinks were free, too. We paid about 7,500 yen per person for a twin room with breakfast in mid-July, on a Saturday holiday during peak season. For that price, the room was plenty spacious. The unit bathroom was fine, though it had no toilet seat cover. We dropped some valuables in there. Luckily we got them back, but that could cause a blockage, so I think a cover would help. The refrigerator was large, which is handy for a longer stay. The lighting felt a bit dim at night. The parking area beside the hotel is narrow and unpaved. It was already tricky to park in the far corner when we arrived. Our car was left at the end of the aisle, so I assume they kept the keys for us, which was no issue. You can walk to a supermarket from the hotel. It was a good stay without any real problems, and a cheap option if you're looking at Koniya. Thank you.

The room was clean, though it felt old and historic, and the air conditioning worked really well. The Wi-Fi was awful, around 22 Mbps, and felt worse than 3G. I had to rely on my carrier connection. It’s a totally different level from a city hotel. I even wonder if the staff use the hotel Wi-Fi themselves (;;) If you want a good hotel in Kuniya, is this the best choice? A room without meals costs over 9,000 yen, about the same as a city hotel, and on some days it’s even pricier.
