After driving for an hour to get here, we found the place closed. Google Maps hadn’t been updated with the opening hours, so the trip was a complete waste of time. Really disappointing.

There’d been nothing in the news about a closure, so I took a bus from Sapporo for over two hours on June 10th and arrived to find it shut. I was really disappointed.

I stopped by at 4:30 pm on July 30 and found it closed. Maybe that was because of the tsunami advisory, though I’m not sure. It’s probably best to check before heading over.
