We really did feel at home here. The family who run the hotel were warm and smiling, and even gave the kids a little souvenir. The common area is huge, bright and cosy, with a kitchen that was more fully equipped than any we've seen, from excellent cutting knives to plenty of cutlery, plates, bowls and pans. Our family room was spacious, the views were beautiful, and the location made it easy to visit Shiretoko. It was one of the most pleasant stays of our five weeks in Japan. The price was very reasonable compared with nearby hotels.

The rooms were spotless, and the shared kitchen was extremely well equipped. The family who own the place were very helpful. It sits by the sea with great views, and it cost much less than the more upmarket hotels in town, which we didn't find as good.

We really appreciated the shared room for cooking and relaxing, and the owner was helpful. We visited in late April, when the sunrise around 4am was immaculate. The sea views from the hotel were beautiful in the morning.

The ocean views were truly stunning. They had thoughtful touches to make the stay comfortable, including free coffee. We left our car at the hotel and enjoyed the pleasant short walk into town.

From my room I could watch a little family of foxes for hours, and I never got tired of the view. The place was very clean, with a big, well-equipped room and a comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything we needed, even a proper ice machine. The lady host was friendly and hospitable. I loved staying here.
