We made some really good memories here and would like to come back. Deer wander around the grounds, and the foreign staff were well trained. The property is huge, with a spacious lobby and roomy guest rooms and bathrooms. Amenities were well stocked. The buffets were the highlight: impressive, high quality, and similar to the Daiichi concept at Rausu, though that one wasn’t buffet style. At night, we could see into the men’s onsen from our window.

We were part of a tour and ended up staying here, but I’d choose somewhere else if you can. I didn’t even try the onsen because I didn’t trust the cleanliness. Stains were everywhere, on the walls, floors, doors, chairs, and bedding. The room smelled off, and the toilet room smelled awful, probably from damp and mould.

The buffets were spectacular, and I loved my Shiretoko trip. The decor was lovely, the rooms were nice, the view was excellent, and the staff were great. AMAZINGGG!!! If you can afford it, go for it!

I wasn’t sure about booking buffet dinners for both days, but the quality and range of food made it well worth it. The dinner selection was broad, and the free drinks made the deal hard to beat. I’ve never come across buffet staff who were this enthusiastic and friendly.

There’s a lot they could do with all that space. The room was a good size, and the buffet was good quality, so I had a very positive stay overall. The spa could use some renovation, though.
