A sweet little campsite, with small trailer-style cabins that seem to draw a lot of motorcycle tourists. There’s a basic but nice onsen down the road, and the wood stove in the common room was lovely on a wet May Day.

The kitchen stays open all night, which made things convenient and comfortable. It’s the best campground I’ve stayed at in Hokkaido, with great facilities, including well-equipped cooking and shower areas with warm heaters.

A comfortable common room and a well-equipped kitchen made it easy to feel at home and cook our own meals. The beds were comfortable, and having a separate snoring room is a great idea. Staff were friendly. The hot spring bath was clean and relaxing, though it wasn’t cozy or luxurious. You can’t use the common room from around 10 till 14, which is a downside. Still, this affordable guesthouse was very convenient and great value. This review is about the guesthouse, not the camping area, which has separate facilities on the same grounds.

We stayed in a dorm in the main building and couldn’t have picked a better place. There’s a huge shared area with free tea and coffee and a fully equipped kitchen. The two hot spring baths were especially good on cold days. It is a bit odd that common areas are meant to be off limits from 9AM to 14PM for cleaning, but the rule wasn’t strictly enforced. And that kind of schedule isn’t unusual in Japan.
