The host and cafe owner were a great help when I ran into problems with my vehicle, and they reassured me too. Everyone there was respectful and helpful. The cafe by the entrance is a lovely place to relax and socialize, and they make coffee with natural spring water from a nearby source. Lots of locals visit. The apartment, with its kitchen, toilet, and multiple rooms, made a great base for exploring the Shiretoko area. There are more amenities in the main building, where campers can share the space. This stay became a memorable part of my Hokkaido trip.

The house had a kitchen, three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living room. It was extremely quiet at night, and the staff were so nice and made us feel welcome. The accommodation was surprisingly nice.

A quiet, tucked-away campground, with a nice little cafe open from 0700 to 1700. It's well placed for driving into Shari, about 15 minutes away. For a reasonable ¥3000, four of us in a campervan had showers, washing, plenty of firewood, and BBQ equipment included.

The cabins are great for families, and there's a small playground on site. You'll need a vehicle to get across. Highly recommended.

A large house with all the facilities and equipment, for a good price.
