The room was clean, modern, and well priced, with a good breakfast and a choice of pillows. There’s enough parking, though remember the entrance is one-way. It was handy to be able to take the stairs down.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with both Japanese choices like miso soup, yakisoba, and fish, and Western pastries including croissants. It was included in the rate. Even with lots of workers there at 7 am, the staff member managing the dining area kept seats and tables turning smoothly and wished everyone a nice day with a smile. This was my second Super Hotel stay on Shikoku, and it was much better than my first one in another city. Parking was free here, which was a good start. The woman who greeted me was cheerful and spoke English very well. She patiently explained the hotel amenities, showed me the beauty station and helped me pick a few things, and told me about the spa and welcome drink hours. My room felt new and had enough space for my large suitcase. The air conditioning cooled it quickly, the Wi-Fi was fast, and I especially liked the blackout blind, which kept light out without an old dusty curtain. It’s in an industrial part of town, so there’s no sightseeing within walking distance, though a few chain restaurants are only a few blocks away. The lobby welcome drinks are available from 18:00 to 21:00. I liked the pink pomegranate sour they recommended. About the spa hours people have mentioned: I didn’t see another female guest during my stay. Most guests seemed to be construction workers or business men, so I can see why the men have more time. I was really impressed. This stay lifted my spirits during my roller-coaster road trip around Shikoku.

Everything else was great, as it usually is at Super Hotels. The staff are helpful and friendly, things are clean, and the amenities are fantastic. I did find the Onsen schedule disappointing, though. Women get only 20:00-21:50, while men have 15:00-19:50 and 22:00-09:30. I wish there were a chance for women to go early in the morning before breakfast, and another option after checking in.

The breakfast had a good range, and the happy hour drinks were a nice extra. Staff were welcoming, and the air conditioning and Wi-Fi both worked well. The room was an okay size for one person, and the bed was comfortable. The long pillow felt a little hard, so I picked up a softer one at reception.

The room is small, but really cosy, and this is the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Japan so far. Breakfast is free, as are the evening drinks. The receptionist is very professional and makes an effort to personalize the stay. They even remembered that we like to go out for breakfast.
