Station Hotel Annex

The place looks old, but it seems well kept, and the room was clean enough. I found parking for three cars in front of the repair shop beside the hotel; the other spaces looked a little farther away, though still not too far. I checked in shortly after 4pm, and once I was in my room the doorbell rang several times. For a moment I wondered if something spooky was going on, then figured they were probably just checking the facilities. After a bath, and maybe helped along by the drinks, I slept straight through till morning.

I slept really well here before the fishing tournament, and ended up catching a satisfying amount the next day. The building looks old from outside, but the rooms have been renovated, with new air conditioning and other amenities. It was quiet and comfortable, and the low price was a plus.

The building is old, but my room was clean and I had no complaints. I was due to arrive around midnight for a fishing trip the next day, but a traffic accident meant I’d be about 30 minutes late. The receptionist’s wife answered when I called and was so kind that check-in went smoothly. I’d gladly stay here again.

The station is an easy walk, under 10 minutes, and convenience stores, izakayas, and family restaurants are all within about 5 minutes. What made the stay for me, though, was the warm service. The elderly couple seem to run the place, and the wife was gentle and welcoming. She was so cute, it felt like visiting my grandmother’s house. The lobby has a lived-in look (lol), but the hotel itself was clean and really comfortable. It has a homey feel, so I’d recommend it if you want a warm, personal stay.
