Suzufuku

The couple who run the place are very kind, and the surroundings were quiet and pleasant. Our room was spotless, and the meals were generous portions and delicious. The homemade fruit liqueur was great too. I was very satisfied, and we'll definitely be back. I went during the latter half of Golden Week. I told my family I wanted a guesthouse, so we searched and booked through Rakuten Travel after seeing the reviews praise the food and service. One thing to watch for: the road to Suzufuku is narrow.

This was about ¥15,000 for one night. The parking lot is spacious, but the road leading to it is extremely narrow, so I really recommend avoiding arrival after dark. It was nice to get away from a life full of stuff. Here it's just the sea and lots of kidachi aloe, with no convenience stores nearby. The clean room had cold barley tea ready in the fridge, and the bath was big enough for two adults. The sashimi was good, but I especially liked the landlady's home cooking, including fluffy simmered kinmedai and tokobushi with vegetables. The breakfast tamagoyaki had a sweet and salty flavor that lifted my mood, and the coffee brewed with deep ocean water was very mild. On the way out, we got aloe lotion as a gift. It's handmade by aging aloe and pesticide-free lemons for about three months, and comes in a proper light-blocking bottle. It made my skin feel firmer. I liked it so much I'd buy it on its own.

Being close to the sea is great. I came to see the cherry blossoms at night, and the view was beautiful and relaxing too. The alfonsino was tasty, and breakfast miso soup was good and satisfying. The outside of the place looks nice as well.

The room was comfortable and relaxing, and the guesthouse was clean. The staff were very kind and welcoming. We also ate well, with superb dishes made from fresh local ingredients. I'd definitely like to stay again.
