Shimoda Itoen Hotel Hanamisaki

We had breakfast and dinner buffets during our three days and two nights. The one drawback for me was that the buffet selection was the same on both days, so we ate the same food two days in a row. Apart from that, the service was good and we had everything we needed for a memorable vacation. This is a really good hotel, and we'll definitely come back.

It's an old hotel with big rooms in a traditional Japanese style, set in a great location. The staff were wonderful, and there are onsen at the hotel. All the food tasted good. Breakfast and dinner are buffets, with dinner offering a full course of Japanese and European dishes, dessert, beer, wine, sake, whiskey, and coffee. There's also a karaoke room and games zone.

The room cleanliness was the main issue for me, especially by Japanese hotel standards. The price wasn't too high, though, and the staff were very nice and friendly. They don't speak much English, but that was okay.
