Satomi was there to greet me and took me up to my room, explaining all the amenities in excellent English. The room had everything I needed for a relaxing stay, and I thought the little library was a sweet touch. It really feels like a retreat, somewhere to unwind rather than go out all night and just sleep. Getting there was easier than I expected. It may feel like the middle of nowhere, but buses from the train station run about every 7-10 minutes and cost 270 JPY each way. They don’t go very late, though. I got there around 1 pm and couldn’t check in yet, so I went a couple of blocks to Daiso and the supermarket. There’s also a path right in front of the hotel where you can take pictures. Since I wasn’t driving, I booked dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The food was tasty and filling, and the waitstaff used a translator device to explain each course. They also checked about food allergies. The tub in my room was huge, clean, and just the right temperature, with a great view for a sunrise soak. The women’s face care was L'Occitane, with one set for nighttime and another for the morning. Such a clever idea, my skin was glowing! Satomi checked me out the next morning. I felt pampered and treated like a queen. Loved it, and I want to bring my family next time!
