The rooftop is a wonderful place to take your first photo in this historic town. Looking out at that marvelous sky made for a mind-blowing morning and put me in a joyful mood for the weekend in Shimonoseki. This is much more than just a railway station.

The room was clean, but the smell was awful. The air conditioning didn't work as advertised, and there was no way to change the temperature, so the room stayed humid all the time. I've had no trouble staying cool and comfortable in cheaper hotels. The location wasn't great either, with no restaurants within walking distance. If you need air conditioning that works, I'd avoid this hotel.

The price is good and it's right by the port and train station. There aren't many restaurants nearby, though, and parking costs a bit much.

A good value for a hotel room, and clean enough, though the room is a little small. I arrived in a Sieta, but the parking staff said it was too large for their spaces, so I had to find somewhere else to park.

The room was very hot and humid because the air conditioning wasn't working. It also had an unpleasant smell.
