The room felt cramped for two, though there was enough space for one person. The hotel is near both the train station and mall, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are two coin laundry machines and a microwave on the fifth floor. All in all, a good place to stay.

I booked a non-smoking room, but was given a smoking room when I arrived. They couldn't move me, so I had to pay for another hotel nearby. The booking system showed it as a smoking room, which wasn't true, and they wouldn't refund me. I'd stay well away from this chain.

The facilities and amenities are dated and look like they haven't been renovated in a long time, but everything was very clean. Two of us shared a room with breakfast included, and the price was superb. This was the best value I've had, and I'd stay here again if I return to Shimonoseki.

The bathroom felt old, and its shower curtain needed replacing. The TV was also locked into the pay service, so there was no way to use HDMI, USB media or screen mirroring. Even with those two drawbacks, I'd stay again. It's great value right beside the station, and the main sights are easy to reach on foot or by bus, including Kaikyo Tower, Kaikyokan aquarium, the wharf for Ganryu, and the little amusement park with its great Ferris wheel.

A really good hotel, and an especially good deal for the price. I took off one star because parking isn't free.
