The owner was really friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the food was so yummy. They also had toys for kids, which my children really enjoyed.

They even took us back to Kurohime Station the next morning, and we’re very grateful. Before that, although we arrived ahead of check-in, they picked us up at the station, drove us to the Kurohime Fairy Tale Museum, brought our luggage to our room, and collected us from the museum afterward. The jacuzzi was fun, and the dinner we asked for at the last minute was delicious. They even served us the dessert shown in the photo.

The bath is unusual, and the first time you try it, it’ll surprise you 😂. The room and food were both comfortable.

Our family of four, two parents and two children, stayed on 2024-08-14. The 27,000 yen price included dinner and breakfast, and felt like excellent value. The friendly, easygoing female owner runs this guesthouse near Lake Nojiri. We were greeted by a sign saying “Kotori no Ki” (Little Bird Tree), with cute animal figures on the ground. The building is a little dated, but inside, the little birds and other decorations make it feel warm and cozy. Both meals were delicious and generously portioned, and we left full. Dinner was especially good: Shinshu beef raised on Shinshu apples, duck, fried chicken, sweet local corn, and fluffy rice. The rooms are also a little dated, but clean from thorough housekeeping and have air conditioning and heating. We had a very pleasant stay. There were toys in the shared hallway space, including manga, Jenga, and kendama. We borrowed them before and after dinner, and had a wonderful time together instead of watching TV or using our phones. I’d like to visit again! There’s one family bath, available when free, with no advance reservations, and three washing areas. The toilets and washroom are shared. There are about five rooms total, all on the second floor. Bring your own toiletries; towels are provided. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
