Sahoro Resort Hotel

It looks like an older hotel, but it’s very clean and well maintained. There’s plenty of parking, and the nearest ski area is an easy walk away. A wonderful place to stay near the slopes.

The food was good, and some staff were kind, though others weren’t. I’d made a special reservation for Christmas dinner at the restaurant, but when I walked in, the staff sent me to the buffet without checking whether I had a reservation or asking anything. I was dressed properly, too, so that was a bad first impression. There were lots of tourists and not many local people, and the place felt hectic. The snow quality was disappointing. I’d rather go to Aomori than Hokkaido, and I wouldn’t come back here.

I stayed four nights for skiing in December 2025. After I left, I realized I’d messed up sending my skis to the next resort. May at the front desk was extremely kind and helped me sort it out through email. All the staff were very kind and helpful.

The onsen was pure bliss, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Sahoro Resort Hotel has a rustic charm and lovely mountain views, making it a great escape whether you want adventure or a chance to relax.
