Shin Nishiki Hotel

The owner fit us in at the last minute, and the beach is literally across the street, with a convini right there too. This place was such a relief after we had to leave another hotel within a day because of several problems. The upper floors look out over the beach, and our room was so clean and well kept. One gentleman runs the hotel and is incredibly kind. He may be out for lunch or errands, so be patient, but it was absolutely worth it. We had towels, hot and cold water, no odd smells or mold, and he explained what to do in an earthquake or tsunami. There’s an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach, and taking your shoes off on the main floor feels great. You can tell he cares about the hotel and his guests. Just... so worth it. Please visit, and be kind and patient with the owner.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location worked really well, close to the beach, FamilyMart, and lots of good restaurants. I stayed for three nights and everyone I met, including the receptionist, was warm and welcoming. I accidentally arrived a day early, and the receptionist kindly made it work. If you just want somewhere clean to stay without anything suspicious going on, and aren't after a lavish experience, this place fits.

The breakfast was the best ever, and there are restaurants very close by. The room was large and comfortable, right across from the beach. Head to the footbath in the morning and again at night, you'll love it. I loved my stay here.

Owners were so kind, and the hotel feels cosy and is decorated beautifully. It's a one-minute walk to the beach, with a Family Mart straight across the road. They have a foot sprayer outside for cleaning up before you go in, so sand doesn't get tracked around much even though it's a beach hotel. Highly recommended!
