Tabist Sunny Inn Mukai

We went for a day-use bath on 2026/02/20 and had the place to ourselves when we arrived around 7 p.m. Adults paid 500 yen and children 300 yen, so it was cheap and convenient. There was one kind of bath, at about 40 degrees, with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap supplied. I brought my own towel. It seems the place often hosts tennis training camps, and we ran into a group of elementary school boys who said they were there for one.

The water is really good, and this is the least expensive day-use hot spring in the area. It's in Shirako Onsen Town. Depending on when you go, a big influx of visitors can make it pretty noisy.

The water was the worst part for me. They served it with every meal, but after one sip at the start I couldn't bring myself to drink more. The food, on the other hand, was delicious. The room had a toilet, but the thin walls let every sound through, and the entrance smelled strongly of shoes when I first arrived. Most of the staff seemed kind. There are lots of foreign workers!! The only bath is the large communal one. A few showers were awkward to reach, and working out how to use them was kind of fun. I'd like to keep staying here, but hope they can improve the water quality.

It was pretty much all about the tennis courts. Watching the other groups practice and play matches was really helpful.
