The stay made sense for the price: a night with two meals, Wi-Fi, and rides to and from the station came to just over 5,000 yen net, before the tax increase three years earlier. When I visited, there also seemed to be a student competition, with high school students at a training camp. If quality is your main concern, Shizukuishi Prince Hotel may suit you better. It really depends on what matters to you at the time. I do question comparing a top-class hotel with a guesthouse, though. Mr. Suzuki’s one-star review feels inconsistent since he also gave Prince Hotel one star. Most of his ratings are one star, with only a few four- and five-star ones, so I find that history unreliable. The opinions seem very subjective and the reviews overly harsh.
