The staff were very good and helpful, and there's a free shuttle to JR Shizuoka Station. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the station, which is manageable until you're hauling two suitcases. The facilities feel much closer to two stars to me than the four stars shown on booking.com and Google Maps, which I find misleading. The room is very old, especially the tiny, dim bathroom, which looks like a prefabricated unit. There were no disposable slippers or bottled water in the room. I can't comment on the food or lounge since I didn't use either, though those seem to be what the positive online reviews focus on. For the price, the experience was unpleasant, so don't expect too much.

I stayed several days and came away deeply disappointed. The Wi-Fi was so slow I couldn't work remotely, and after 10 days there had been no cleaning. When I asked, I was told they don't clean even for long stays, which raised real hygiene concerns for me. I also contacted management through the official website and by email and never got a reply. At checkout, nobody even said thank you, most staff seemed to have poor attitudes, and one night staff member snapped at me in a way that felt intimidating. Even at this price, I expect basic service. I regret choosing it just because it was cheap.

I left my shoe at the hotel, and one of the staff brought my things to us on the way. I have no idea how he tracked us down, but that was so kind. I had already bought another shoe, yet I was still really happy with the service. Thank you!

The room was small and really dirty, and we paid a lot for it. Breakfast wasn't included, and they didn't even give us fresh slippers.

They really know how to look after guests here. The service was superb, easily five stars.
