We visited on Aug 2 and had a great stay. The public Onsen was clean and spacious, with an outdoor hot spring. Our big tatami room was clean too, with separate living and sleeping areas. The sheets and blankets were already laid out when we arrived. Dinner was roast and shabu-shabu Hita beef. It was tender and delicious, and we all ate our fill. The boss and waitress were kind and always smiling. The lobby is large, with a gift shop and coffee area. When my two daughters tried the claw machine, the boss even came over to 'help', and they both won dolls and were very happy. We'll remember this stay fondly.

The free shuttle from Takayama train station was handy, and the outdoor hot spring baths were very relaxing. There are two individual tubs and one shared bath. The locker room lounge has recliners, which made a comfortable place to wait for my shuttle.

I had a great time here. The rooms have all the basic amenities and the food is very good. There are also several kinds of vending machines inside, and the onsen is one of the best I've visited in Japan. Definitely worth a stay.

It's not too far from Takayama city, and there's a natural hot spring bath. Honkan costs a little more than Beccan. On snowy days, you have to walk 300 m from Beccan to Honkan to take a bath.

The rooms are clean and good value for money. There's an indoor hot bath and an external one. Breakfast is free: an egg, two pieces of bread, butter and jam, and some salad, with unlimited coffee and tea. The downside is the location, a few KM from the city centre.
