HOTEL MYSTAYS Shimizu

Right beside the train station, and the staff were friendly. One morning I saw a cleaner roll up their pants while cleaning the bathroom. No wonder our room was so clean.

The rooms were clean, and it was nice having the toilet in a separate space from the shower and bath. The staff were kind, professional, and accommodating, and always greeted us as we came back from exploring the city or work, or headed out. Restaurants are nearby, and the station is an easy short walk away. I’d be happy to stay here again on a work or leisure trip to Shimizu. Thanks, Hotel Mystays Shimizu team!

Reception was friendly, and they let us leave our luggage there for free. You can also pick up complimentary facial items near reception. The hotel has everything you need: my non-smoking single room had a TV, fridge, toiletries, and a private bathroom and toilet in separate spaces. The double bed was comfortable. There was a fabric refresher and shoe cleaner, too, and you could see the jetty and JR train track from the hotel. The room temperature was adjustable, and on the fourth floor there were washing machines, a vending machine, and a free ice machine. The blanket had two layers, and I wasn't sure whether to use both or just one. You can hear trains pass, but that was still acceptable to me since the hotel is almost perfect. Cleanliness still has room for improvement.

The room was average, and the soundproofing was weak. We could hear noise from other rooms and people walking along the corridor. The location was very good, with a convenience store and plenty of restaurants nearby.
