The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Our room was really nice, relatively spacious, and seemed newly renovated. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I'd say it's the best I've stayed in in Japan, within this price range, of course.

Communication was terrible. I asked for two nights, but the guy charged me 11.000¥ for one night. After charging my card, he told me check-out was at 10am.

The room was spacious and the bed was good to sleep in. It's close to the station, but old. The shower towels were almost yellow.

The building has an older feel, though the renovated interior is clean. My room was roomy for a business hotel and well kept, and the Wi-Fi stayed reliable throughout my visit. Check-in was quick and the staff were polite. Breakfast wasn't a huge spread, but the home-style food was satisfying. With Shizuoka Station right nearby, I found it a handy and good-value base for work or sightseeing.

The room renovation is really nicely done. It has a comfortable Simmons bed, a big TV, and the air in my non-smoking room felt better than in most hotels I've stayed at. The front desk still has an old-fashioned Showa-era look. My one small wish was for a USB charging port.
