Hotel Hagoromo

The ryokan is beautiful and authentic, with a carefully kept garden by the breakfast area. Breakfast was attractively presented and tasty, and the room was clean and well equipped. I especially liked the Shizuoka green tea. Check-in was quick, and the staff were warm and helpful. We were grateful to the lady boss for keeping close watch over us, following us and coming into our room to urge us to leave because our friend had booked a nearby hotel and wasn't staying here. We only needed 10-15 minutes to settle in before heading to dinner, but she followed us the whole time. There isn't a private onsen, and we weren't comfortable sharing baths with others. The ryokan is right by the Road of God walk, which leads to a full view of Mount Fuji. We drove, but anyone using other transport should know it's about a 1 km walk from the bus stop.

The food was delicious, and the rooms were clean. We had a great ryokan experience with lovely staff, right by Miho no Matsubara. I'd stay here again if I'm back in the area.

The Okami was really kind to tourists, and the customer service was great. The room was cozy, and the hotspring was clean. It's conveniently located for visiting the park and the Mr Fuji view.

The staff made the place feel like home. They were so kind, helpful, and easy to talk to, especially vandita and susmita, who spoke our native language, Hindi. We slept comfortably on the tatami mats, and the staff set up the beds while we went out for dinner. The breakfast was a special experience, with a range of traditional Japanese dishes. There's also a lovely garden to walk around, a relaxing onsen with an outdoor area, and bikes for exploring the neighborhood. It's right next to the water, too. We highly recommend staying here.
