The croissants at breakfast were delicious. I stayed several nights in a cottage connected to the main building, with towels, loungewear, and amenities supplied for the length of my stay. There was a unit bath in the room, which made it feel like an apartment and put me at ease, though eating and using the shared bathroom facilities meant going outside to the main building. The owner gladly answered my questions, which helped my sightseeing go smoothly. The place is above Olive Park, with no restaurants or other businesses nearby, so stock up on what you need before you arrive.

I booked more than six months ahead and stayed two nights without meals. The bath, sink, and toilet were shared, but the stay was comfortable. Shops and restaurants are a long way off, so some advance planning and reservations were needed. I was able to rent two roomy rooms next to each other, which made the stay feel very satisfying.

The breakfast was tasty, but with so few rooms, getting a reservation is a challenge. That's a shame.

The room and service were both average, and the food was nothing special with small portions. Staff didn’t understand the details of the Go To campaign. Smokers have to walk about 100m outside in the dark. The bathroom is at the nearest hot spring facility, and the toilet is small. There are lots of sensor lights around the facility, which gave it a slightly creepy feel.

Take a flashlight if you’re heading down toward the tennis court after dark. It’s a good idea to bring one.
