We only booked one night and wished we’d had more time. The room was lovely, and the staff were polite and helpful. Dinner was served in a private room in the upstairs restaurant rather than in our room. The indoor pool and spas were nice, and one of the communal onsen baths had a huge open window looking out at the woods. The hotel is right by the ocean, so it seems like a great place for summer too. The one thing that felt odd was having to take off our shoes or slippers every time we went to the second building, including inside its elevator. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay.

The hot spring was spacious and felt wonderfully open. Even the indoor bath had an outdoor feel with those wide-open windows, and the sleeping bath in the main building was pure bliss. After a soak, or early in the morning, I could sit on the terrace in my main-building room and listen to the waves. The meals were delicious, served with real warmth. The staff seemed to care about each guest’s happiness, going beyond simply following a manual. I’d love to return.

The warm onsen and the professional, wonderful staff made the stay memorable. We also had beautiful views, the beach was close by, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Our room had a hot shower and a warm, toasty bidet.

Breakfast had fried potatoes, eggs, and Belgian waffles, which I was a fan of. Dinner was very traditionally Japanese, but foreigners can enjoy it too. The views and meals were beautiful, and the experience was amazing. My middling room rating is because the rooms were very dusty. Still, it’s definitely worth staying, though maybe ask if they can vacuum the tatami before new guests arrive.
