We could reach dozens of ski resorts in 45-90 minutes, and places like the snow monkeys and a temple were accessible too. The location by the expressway and shopping mall made picking up food and supplies easy, and there was plenty of parking plus inexpensive laundry. Breakfast was solid, though I wish it started earlier since we had to miss it on powder days. At least the staff made the self-service coffee available, and there are vending machines for beer, coffee, and water. Good value, and I’ll consider staying here again for Nagano snow missions.

Breakfast had a good range of choices and was tasty, and there’s free parking and coin laundry. It’s a large hotel, though it sits away from the city’s main activity. The nearby streets get quite dark, so you’ll need to drive if you want to go out for dinner. The rooms are small.

I loved the onsen, and everything else was great. The room was clean and cozy, but the motion-sensor light is too close to the bed. Even my small movements while sleeping kept switching it on, which was really annoying.

Breakfast started at 5:30 a.m., which was such a help for the runners, and the bananas and drinks were just right. I was there for the Nagano Olympic Memorial Nagano Marathon, and nearly 90% of the guests seemed to be participants. The service was incredibly thoughtful and polite, with a welcome drink of local, additive-free apple juice. They clearly listen to feedback, and their work developing their own volleyball team shows in how they look after guests. I’m planning to enter again next year. Thank you so much.
