Hotel Tajimi Hills Riverside

The staff were polite and helpful. The hotel itself is cheap, so I suppose the noise from footsteps, broken air conditioning, and a weak door closer that lets the door slam are to be expected.

The Wi-Fi kept cutting out, and the air conditioner, fridge, and exhaust fan were all so loud that I switched them off, along with the lights. I had hoped to use the large public bath at the sister hotel, but at check-in I was told it needed to be booked in advance, so I couldn't.

The staff were generally friendly, and I found the hotel fairly average, if not new. I was a little surprised that the breakfast area was outside, but it was no problem. The newly renovated Tajimi Police Station is very close, so the neighborhood feels safe, lol.

Breakfast was better than I expected, with staples like salted mackerel, hijiki seaweed, kinpira, scrambled eggs, and yogurt. For the price, I was very satisfied. The room was ordinary and the Wi-Fi worked fine, while the front desk was surprisingly small for a chain hotel. Staff were very polite, and by the entrance there was coffee as well as an unusual powdered corn soup. The hotel advertises an "internal bath," and it is indoors. I don't know why it was made that size. To use it, you flip the sign on the entrance door to show "in use." That makes it private, but I felt uneasy imagining someone might be waiting.
