APA Hotel Takamatsu Airport

The staff were such a help. At midnight, three of them and I were in the lobby trying to free my hiking pole, which had been stuck with super glue. They came out with gloves, tools, and lubricating spray, and we finally got it done. Really above and beyond, thank you for being so kind. This is a great-value little airport hotel. The rooms are large, the beds very comfortable, and the place is quiet, relaxed, and well maintained. There’s a really nice top-floor onsen with three baths and a sauna. It’s in the middle of nowhere, though the airport is too. If the weather’s nice, you can walk about 20 minutes down the road to a 7 eleven, and there’s an ice cream shop along the way.

Good value. There’s an onsen and sauna on the ground floor, plus a simple breakfast.

The hotel has an onsen and a restaurant, but check their opening hours if you’ll be arriving late. It’s close to the airport, with a free shuttle pickup, though it’s far from the city center and you’ll need a car to get to nearby places. The rooms were clean and just right, and the staff were really nice. They even upgraded my booking to a larger room.

The onsen and sauna were nice, and the beds were comfortable, though the pillows weren’t. Sound carries right through the rooms. A family talking loudly outside woke me at 6:30. There was also a very strong cigarette smell, even though my room was marked nonsmoking.
