The free breakfast had a nice range of dishes, and the staff were friendly and full of energy. They cheerfully called out when something new was added or refilled, which made the room feel pleasant. The hotel has one large public bath, with separate bathing hours for men and women; the schedule changes on weekdays versus weekends and holidays. It’s about a five-minute walk from Kawaramachi Station and near the main shopping area. Ritsurin Garden is within a 20-minute walk. The room was a standard size for Japan, though a bit dark. Brighter lighting would have been nicer. One last thing, the hotel’s taxi company was great. There’s a phone by reception to call them directly, and both the staff and driver were kind and friendly, a lovely way to end our trip.

This was my first stay at Super Hotel. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and a good attitude, but I was extremely disappointed by the hot spring schedule. Men could use it from 3pm to 7:50pm and again from 10pm until 7:20am, for a total of 13 hours and 30 minutes. Women had only 8pm to 9:50pm and 7:20am to 9:30am, just four hours altogether. That’s three times as much time for men. I don’t understand why Super Hotel administrators set such unfair hours, and I was speechless to learn they wouldn’t change during my stay. If I wanted to enjoy the hot spring, I had to rush back to the hotel or get up early. I found this unacceptable, so I’m posting on Google to remind female guests to think carefully before booking Super Hotel Takamatsu Kinnennkan.

We were three adults and stayed two nights in a triple-sharing room with a single bunk-style bed. It was small but comfortable and well equipped. You can choose from different pillows in the lobby to use during your stay. Breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a limited number of its own parking spaces.

We had a pleasant, inexpensive stay. The room had a queen bed with a bunk bed above it, and only one pillow for the queen. Breakfast was free, but we didn’t wake up in time to make it. We definitely would have gone otherwise.

The room was excellent for a couple. Just note that the limited parking is first come, first served, so you need to reserve a spot or use the nearby lot the hotel recommends.
