Takamatsu Kokusai Hotel

The pajamas were comfortable, and though the rooms are quite small, there’s still enough space to walk around. They don’t leave bottled water in the room, just a water dispenser by the elevator, so you have to step out to get some. Parking can run out of spaces at times, and getting around really calls for a car. I booked here to get to the port quickly, but traffic was so bad that the trip took almost three times as long. Honestly, there wasn’t much else to shout about.

The restaurant team were probably the friendliest, most attentive staff I’ve ever met. Service here rivals the five-star hotels I’ve stayed in, even though the rooms and amenities look a bit dated, but are well maintained. I was here for work and liked the location. It’s outside the center, but still not too far from nearby attractions. That also makes it quiet, a good choice if you want some peace. There’s a convenience store and a few shops across the road, and the pedestrian walk makes the crossing feel safe. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Takamatsu.

The staff were polite and helpful, and there’s free parking. I stayed for two days last week. The room was clean and the hotel as a whole was well maintained. I’ll definitely come back on my next Shikoku trip.

Breakfast was the best part, and it was very good. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and the location was great too. The sign on the hotel didn’t match the name on the website. It said “International,” not “Kokusai,” so we made a few U-turns before going in to ask. The hot water wasn’t steady either, but those were minor issues.
