The island looks almost like a little piece of sky with the mountains behind it. You can enjoy that view right from this place.

The Japanese-style hotel was a lovely place to unwind, with good food, an onsen, and a sea view. It’s a bit of a walk from the JR station, so call ahead to arrange the free shuttle.

We came for the food and would happily return for it. Both dinner and breakfast were so good. The room had a lovely view, and the onsen was great too. A five-star stay at a bargain price.

Breakfast worked especially well for me because of my dietary restrictions. I could pick what I was able to eat from the buffet, and was surprised to find a waffle maker and an ice cream machine. The food was delicious. The baths were lovely, with beautiful views over Toyama Bay, and there were private baths available to rent. The decor feels a little dated, though everything looked quite new. Of all the onsen hotels I’ve stayed at, this might be my favorite. I’d gladly return to Isohanabi.

The staff were lovely, especially the woman who helped us at dinner. The hotel itself is beautiful and very comfortable.
