Lake Biwa Hills Resort

I went just for lunch and ordered the hamburger steak. The edges were burnt, hard, and bitter, and the steak itself was very small for the price. It wasn’t to my taste. I didn’t want to be rude and leave food, so I made myself finish it. I don’t think I’ll go back.

The manager was so kind and funny, and really went out of their way to help. We weren’t sure about having a BBQ, but they encouraged us and even helped with the setup. We were also surprised to find handheld fireworks. We came with friends and their dogs to enjoy Lake Biwa. The rental equipment all worked fine, and we had a really comfortable stay. It was such a good experience that we’d love to come back!

It was a lovely red-roofed cottage, still new and very clean. I liked all the thoughtful details in the windows, screens, and curtains, and the round handles were cute. Having a mirror in the dressing room was handy, and the sofa could be made into a bed. There were even two air conditioners, which impressed me. The dishwashing detergent was from a 100 yen store and didn’t cut grease very well. For some reason, there were no mosquito coils lol. I’d like to go again. It’s a great memory! 😊☺️

The owners were really friendly and chatted with us a lot. We stayed in a lovely new cottage with our dog, and the loft and high ceiling made it feel spacious. The bathroom, kitchen, and roomy shower were all very clean and comfortable. There’s a fence around the cottage, so we could enjoy a BBQ in the garden with our dog. We’re so glad we stayed here. It made for a wonderful trip, and we definitely want to come back. Thank you! ☺️
