Fav Lux Hidatakayama

Our Tatami Room had a separate kitchen, toilet, and bathroom, as well as a large balcony. We could see the mountains from both the main room and the bathroom, and that view was a big reason we booked it. Waking up to it was special. The room was spacious and thoughtfully arranged. Breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our two-night stay. Takayama Station is just a five-minute walk away, and the Old Town takes around 15 minutes on foot, with plenty of shops and places to eat along the route. We were very pleased and would love to stay again.

Our Japanese-style room was spacious, clean, and smelled lovely. The futons were so comfortable that we slept well, and we especially liked the balcony connecting the living room, toilet, and kitchenette. We didn’t get around to trying the private saunas, though guests could get a discount. The staff were very welcoming and check-in was easy. Fav Lux Hidatakayama is only a minute from Takayama Station, which made a handy base for exploring town and taking day trips. We highly recommend it.

We really loved the room. It was lovely and fully equipped, and the bathroom was nice too. This was our first time booking a room for four, and it worked out fantastically. The hotel is close to the station, and the main sights are about a 15-minute walk away. I’d been a little concerned by reviews saying the receptionist wasn’t helpful, but the young lady was great and gave us full assistance. We got the complete experience at your accommodation. Using a QR code to enter the room was handy, since family members could come and go without needing key cards. The rooms were clean and quite a bit larger than normal Japanese hotel rooms, and the staff were friendly. We had a pleasant, wonderful stay.
