The bed was really comfortable, and the big bathtub was a nice surprise. Everything was spotless, from the living room and kitchen to the bathroom, toilet, and bedroom, and the kitchen had plenty of cookware. We also had towels, bath towels, toothbrushes, and other amenities. It’s about a five-minute walk from the station with luggage, and the stairs up to the second-floor room are short enough that larger bags were fine. There’s room for two or three people. The soundproofing was better than I expected, with almost no outside noise. Marumi next door sells meat you can take back by truck, which was super awesome. The only issue was the small trash bins. For more than two nights, the rubbish piles up and overflows. I’d definitely choose this place again. Highly recommended!

Everything we needed was close by: 7-Eleven is two minutes away, and the laundromat and post office are just a minute away. The train station and old Takayama are each five minutes away, with good restaurants nearby too. The room was pleasant and very clean. We slept on a futon with a soft mattress on top, and there’s heating if needed. The blanket was heavy and warm, so we weren’t cold. The bathroom was well equipped, and having the toilet in a separate room felt like a luxury. We’ll definitely be back!
