The food was delicious and great value, and the onsen was beautiful. What I’ll remember just as much, though, is how warmly we were looked after. The staff were kind and caring, helped with our bags, drove us to the shuttle, and even took us by car to the ropeway when it was raining. We found this place at the last minute after deciding to spend more time in the mountains, and I’m so glad we did. It felt like being at home among genuinely lovely people. I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you so much.

We got to enjoy a beautiful open-air onsen, with stunning mountains all around and the ropeway very close by. It felt like a winter wonderland. We were there for just one night and really wished we could’ve stayed longer. Thanks so much for hosting us.

We came without a plan, but they welcomed us and served us a lovely dinner even though we hadn’t reserved. At the end, a staff member gave us a very convenient ride to the ropeway. Great food, kind people, and good value in a beautiful setting.

During my two-month trip around Japan, this was one of my three best experiences. After long hikes in the Alps, the onsen was perfect. We had the house to ourselves, a private onsen, and traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. It was amazing. The owner was very nice and even helped with our cleaning for free. The price was very good for the service we received. Thank you!

We’re Vietnamese and this was our first visit to Takayama. We found this onsen on Google Maps and were lucky to get a huge, beautiful room. The food was excellent, the owner was lovely and full of energy, and the bath area was comfortable and relaxing. We’d definitely come back if we had the chance.
