The hosts were so kind, and they even picked us up at the station and brought us back there afterward. It’s a sweet little hotel in a lovely part of Takayama. We really enjoyed staying here.

The host was lovely and breakfast was nice, but the place itself feels quite old. The walls are very thin too.

The rooms felt cozy, the hosts were warm, and the food was great. I’d happily come back.

A great host who speaks both Japanese and English.

I booked after seeing the good reviews, but I can't understand what earned them. We were made to park along the side of a slope. A few cars were squeezed into the garden in front of the building, while everyone else had to parallel park. If proper parking isn't available, they should let guests know in advance. Although the area is lush and mountainous, the property is in a residential neighborhood with narrow roads, which really took away from the feeling of being on a trip. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who takes good care of their car. The owner's attitude toward guests was awful. This was the worst travel experience of my life.
