TOKYU STAY Hida-Takayama Musubi no Yu Hotel

The hotel's onsen was a highlight for us. It was clean and well looked after, and the staff were polite and provided great service. We stayed three to a room as a family and found it comfortable, with enough space for all of us. Parking was available and convenient for our road trip. I'd recommend it to families traveling by car.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay, and five stars doesn't feel like enough. The onsen, with both indoor and outdoor baths, was well maintained. Check-in was easy, and the front desk staff were friendly. Our room was in excellent shape, with a washer and dryer, heating and air conditioning, a humidifier, TV, and TOTO and Refa toilet amenities. JR Takayama and the Nohi Bus Stop are less than a two-minute walk away. That made it especially convenient for trips to Hirayu Onsen, ShinHokata Ropeway, and Shirakawago. Thank you for making our time in Takayama so special. I hope to come back!

The room was on the small side, but the bed was really comfortable. Having a washer and dryer right there, with laundry being free, was a big plus. The bathroom was tight but usable, with a good shower and curtain, plus a Japanese toilet. Breakfast was okay, though I missed having an egg station. Sitting by the window was nice. The hotel itself is new, with a clean, modern Japanese design, and check-in was quick and friendly.

I was surprised and pretty delighted to find a microwave and a washer/dryer with detergent in the room. The bed was super comfortable, and even though my room was near the tracks, I didn't hear any noise. There was a ReFa blow dryer and ReFa shower products in the bathroom. The new hotel also feels thoughtfully laid out: the doors open outward, leaving more room inside, and there are no peep holes, which I appreciated for privacy. The private bath booking was less relaxing. I reserved by phone earlier in the day and went straight to the bath floor, but had to return to the crowded lobby to get a key. I was in slippers and a yukata, which felt awkward, and getting the key took five minutes from my bath time. Sorry the pictures are blurry, they're screenshots from videos.
