The room condition and excellent service made for a great stay at the hotel.

Dinner was a highlight: the yakiniku was fresh and delicious, and the Japanese breakfast was very satisfying. I was happy with the hot spring bath too, and enjoyed stepping onto the balcony for the view. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. From check-in through luggage help and being shown around, every staff member was attentive and polite. I could feel how considerate they were. I'm traveling with a vegetarian, though, and if they could offer a vegetarian meal by request, my rating would move from nearly perfect, 99, to a full 100.

After dinner, we bathed again and went to bed. The meal was all-you-can-eat and drink, ordered from the restaurant, and I was impressed, especially since there were no foreign workers. My grandson, who is in first grade, surprised me by saying the horse meat and clam soup were delicious. When we arrived at the parking lot, several people greeted us and helped with our bags. I hadn't experienced that kind of hospitality in a while, and it made me happy. The room was satisfactory, and the bathtub was surprisingly large. We heard afternoon tea was available and went to the lounge for a delightful selection of sweets and drinks. We arrived a little late because we didn't know about it; I wish we'd come earlier, as my grandson loved it. After a while, other guests came in, but none had children, and I thought it seemed a bit of a waste of an inn for children. The private bath in the room amazed me with its size. Having it to myself felt luxurious, and my grandson swam in it.

The inn itself is wonderful, and the rooms and staff were great, which makes the food such a shame. Dinner and breakfast were both disappointing. The all-you-can-eat option was the only appeal, and nothing was truly delicious; horse sashimi and sashimi were perhaps the only things that came to mind. I chose the Western-style breakfast, but it was just premade dishes, so I left most of it. I’d been looking forward to the meals because of the good reviews, but after that experience I don't think I'll go back.

The rooms are beautiful and incredibly luxurious. The Japanese plan comes with a private hot spring, while the Western executive plan has one in the room. We love Tamana and have tried many places said to be great, but last night convinced us this one is the best. I might be tied up with work for a while, but my friend and I already said we'd definitely return to Kura no Sato if we want another hot spring bath (o^^o). We've stayed five times in the past two months, and every visit beats our expectations and leaves us wanting to come back. At check-in, there's a welcome message personalized for you on the TV. The a la carte menu was completely renewed two days ago. The chef's skills make it easy to order as much as you want, with delicious Japanese and Western flavors, attractive presentation, and tasteful tableware. It's amazing 😀. The alcoholic drinks are great too, a must-try for drinkers. Every time we visit, the staff greet us with smiles and impressive hospitality. The spring water flows straight from the source, with a perfect temperature and quality for hot spring lovers. We managed six soaks in one night. Hot spring fans and food lovers should stay here at least once.
