Hotel SeaBreeze Coral

SEABREEZE Coral seems to have changed its name, so you need to search for Hot Cross Point Santa Monica to find the hotel. The room was clean, with a large bathroom, and there’s a nice pool downstairs. The bed felt a bit hard, and after the heavy storm the bathroom began to smell. Apart from that, it was fine. The hotel is part of a larger resort complex, with restaurants and beaches within walking distance.

The location was excellent, and the bed was comfortable. At reception, the staff were polite, smiling, and helpful. They sometimes used a translator, but were always ready to help. The shower had both hot and cold water, and breakfast was excellent too.

The adjoining rooms on the low ground floor were great, and breakfast was fabulous. They’re building a pool right now, so they provide a free pass for a nearby onsen pool and spa that you can use throughout your stay. For a family of four, ¥34,000 a night seemed reasonable given the large rooms and great breakfast.

The buffet runs from 7-10 am and was absolutely superb. There was a full spread of local Miyakojima and Okinawa dishes, eggs, fresh fruit, fish, pastries and breads, several soups, fresh juice, tea, and coffee. You can eat inside in the air conditioning or sit outside under the veranda with a light breeze coming from the nearby ocean. The staff were attentive too.
