Such a lovely one-night stay, with a clean space, nice atmosphere, and great location. It felt like Spirited Away, and the staff were very kind. They give you a towel for free, and lock the front door at night. The dormitory bedroom itself has no safety locks or lock, though.

Best hostel we stayed at in Japan. It’s close to the art islands, so it’s easy to catch the ferry over.

The stairs are the steep, familiar kind you find in a Japanese home, so watch your step. I stayed in summer and found the place cool inside, though I can't say how comfortable it is in winter. The staff were really helpful, and it’s great value for the price.

The little tap on the first floor was a detail I especially liked. The interior is tasteful, and the owner is very kind. It feels like an authentic Japanese-style hostel. The mattress is thin, but it was fine.
