The morning views are a real highlight, with mist and a wide 180-degree sunrise. There are plenty of places to sit and unwind, and the meals are served in a high-ceilinged main room with a fireplace. Rooms have classic tatami mats, while the decor blends traditional touches with an eclectic feel. The food selection was interesting and the service friendly. There are onsen facilities inside.

I only stayed one night while passing through Kumano Kodo, and wished I could have made it a much longer visit. The rooms look out onto incredible views, and the onsen is lovely too. The family running the hotel made the stay special with warm hospitality, great food, and personal attention. Arigato gozaimasu!

My flight was canceled a couple of days before departure after Iran was bombed, and there was no way to book another one. I had reserved with them a week before I planned to hike the Kimono Kodo trail. They understood what had happened and waived the cancellation fee. I’m really looking forward to staying there once travel is possible again.

After a steep hike in the rain, we were welcomed into a cosy, charming place by a lovely team. The owner and staff were so warm, and the food was outstanding. There’s a great onsen and incredible views, and the whole place has a lovely feel and soul. Strongly recommend!

The hosts were kind and attentive without hovering, and every detail felt thoughtful. We felt looked after from the moment we arrived. It’s tucked near the river, with peaceful, beautiful views, but still easy enough to get to. The homemade food was fresh and full of local flavor. A relaxing stay with authentic hospitality.
