Tabist Tatebayashi Station Hotel

The hallway to the rooms smelled bad, and the room layout wasn't good. The lack of a reception desk was convenient, but the front desk area was completely dark and the air conditioning wasn't running. There were some days when the lights and air conditioning were on. The service was terrible, and I couldn't find anything good about the place.

I don't want to stay here again. The worst part was that 30 minutes before checkout, someone unlocked my door with a spare key and came in without permission, angrily telling me checkout was at 10 and to hurry up. I was shocked. I've never had such a terrible hotel experience. The curtains in the unit bathroom were covered in mold, and the toilet seat was cold, which was especially rough in winter. A unit bathroom is normal for a business hotel, but those conditions made it feel like the place had no hospitality. I also found it questionable that a dog was roaming freely around the hotel.

I was there on a business trip, but the stay felt like visiting a relative. The host greeted me warmly with things like “Have a nice day,” “Welcome back,” and “Thanks for your hard work,” which helped me feel comfortable even though I was traveling alone. On my last day, there happened to be fireworks nearby. I watched from the hotel balcony, where they were easy to see, and the host came out too. We watched together and talked about how beautiful they were. It became a great memory.

This was the worst. There was trash left behind by the previous guest, and the room felt dim and creepy. When I set my bag on top of the refrigerator, white powder got on it and wouldn't shake off. The place wasn't clean. The shower only gave lukewarm water, never hot. Breakfast was average, though serving raw and fried eggs together felt like a lot of eggs. The menu said breakfast was available until 9, but they asked me to finish by 8. There was also dinner information in the room, so I tried to reserve a meal and was told they weren't available that day. If they can't cook, shouldn't they take the menu down?
