Seaside Garden Day Off

The night at the courtyard bar turned into such a great surprise. The owner offered me a drink after I called over, and somehow we ended up talking about my hometown in Ota Ward. I never expected that! The conversation went on late, and it felt like being back home. The owners were so warm, almost like parents, and I was really happy to meet them both. I booked at short notice and had an amazing day off. Thanks so much, I'll be back!

We were four, and the spacious room had four semi-double beds, so everyone slept comfortably. Breakfast was a tasty, stylish Western meal, and the kids had a great time with the soccer board game in the dining room. The beach was just a short walk away. We collected sea glass and unusual shells along the beautiful sand. The sunset from our room was lovely, and I think every room has a sunset view. We also watched from the rooftop, where the view kept us there until dark despite the cold. The room's bath and toilet are combined, but there are several shared bathrooms and toilets, so it wasn't much of a problem. The shared toilets have bidets. One shared bath had cut stone across the floor and tub, which made me a little nervous about getting hurt, but it was heated around the clock and we used it often. We stayed over the New Year's holiday.

The owners made a great impression on me when I visited last year. Even on our first meeting, they had so many stories to share. They were a lovely couple, the sort you don't run into every day. I also had a good time with drinks and music at the courtyard bar in the evening. I'd love to return this summer. (#^^#) I definitely recommend it.

I was on a motorcycle trip and stayed here today. The room was plain but clean, and the two meals with rice were tasty and filling. A nice extra is the pair of large private toilets in the hallway. They're fully enclosed, so you can use them in peace. If, like me, you're self-conscious about other people hearing you, that's really convenient. The husband and wife who run the place were kind and welcoming, just as other reviews say. I'd recommend staying here, and I'll come again.
