APA Hotel Akihabara Suehirocho Ekimae

The lobby is beautiful, and the staff were kind and professional. I stayed a couple of days and found the small room comfortable, with a shower, bath, warm toilet, desk, kettle, yukata, and plenty of luggage storage under the bed. The bed was very soft and warm, though a bit uneven, but still comfortable. It's good for a few days and might be too small for a longer stay.

This was my second stay at this APA branch, after my first visit last December of 2024. I especially like the location, almost in the center of Akiba, with Donki just across the way for shopping. Staff helped me extend my original 4-day stay by another 5 days. The elevators and corridors were clean, and I like that APA rooms are cleaned every 3 days. For a solo traveler, the room was quite spacious, and I was glad to get one on the highest floor. I'll definitely book here again.

I spent two weeks here on my own and the prices were good. The hotel sits right in the middle of Akihabara, close to the Yamanote Line. There’s a washing machine, too. The second exit leads to Beep, my favorite shop. There’s a restaurant in the hotel entrance, though I never had time to eat there.

The comparison with Tokyo Dome Hotel, where I stayed the night before for not much more money, made the poor value here stand out. I won’t choose APA again after this stay. I’d booked and paid for a street view room, but was first given one facing a wall or building. The front desk changed it when I went back, but the bathroom in the replacement room had visible stains. I felt too uncomfortable to use the shower or towels. The stay fell short of what the booking description led me to expect, and of the reliable standards I associate with APA business hotels. It may be worth checking your room type when you arrive.
