APA Hotel Iidabashi Ekimae

Our room was little, but cozy and comfortable, and the hotel was clean and nice. They let us leave our bags for free after checkout. Their lost and found is well organized too: my son left something behind, and they returned it just as he’d left it, packaged and labeled in a plastic bag.

The rooms were clean, though small. We paid extra for breakfast and found it very expensive. The menus offered Japanese food only, and the greasy, salty options didn’t suit us in the morning, especially the children, so we asked reception to cancel. They refused without trying to find a solution and quickly dismissed us at the counter. For such an overpriced breakfast, we expected at least some effort to help. English can be a challenge at reception.

The room was clean and the toiletries were good, and I’d stay here again. I booked through Agoda, but the check-in registration needs work. Even after I selected English, the system displayed only Japanese, so I needed help. It should import the booking details from Agoda, including the address. Instead, I had to retype it manually with assistance from a reception clerk because it appeared in Japanese rather than English.

There are three train entrances or exits right by the hotel, including one just steps away, which made the location great. The room and bed were okay, and the tiny size was what we expected. We traveled fairly light and still had to figure out exactly where to put all our luggage. The bigger problem was the dust. We found a layer every day, even though the room was cleaned daily.
