Chisun Shinagawa West

There was barely room for two people to move around or unpack six suitcases. We got the top floor, and with no lift we had to carry all the luggage up ourselves. The room had no proper table or mirror for my partner to do her makeup, and the bed and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. We were given just one towel and had to pay 150 yen for another. We booked through a third party, complained, then cancelled after three days and got a partial refund. We booked somewhere else and are much happier where we’re staying now.

No elevator, but there were no hassles, and for the price I can’t complain. There’s a nice mini mart next door that’s open 24 hours.

The room has a kitchenette and full service. The agents were professional and courteous, and helped us when we checked in later than expected.

Rooms are cramped, and there’s just one tiny pillow. No amenities.
