Hotel SAILS Asakusa

We came with my two kids, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and just like the photos. The place seems fairly new or very well maintained, with no mold stains around the kitchen sink or bath tub. I hope it stays that way for future guests. Each person we saw at the counter was friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed: a microwave for heating food, a tiny fridge, a washing machine, and a bathroom dryer with a timer that dried even thick clothes. We could sit down together for meals, and it felt like home away from home. As a mother who hates catching up on piles of laundry after a holiday, being able to wash clothes during the trip was priceless. The location is four stars for me because it's a bit out of the way from the asakusa hub. Still, it's quiet and just a stone's throw from a bus stop, so I'd strongly recommend it if you're happy to do some walking. We had a memorable trip in Japan, including my boy losing his phone on a bus. The hotel staff called the bus depot and filed a report, and we got the phone back the next day. I've read about Japan's legendary honesty, but experiencing it is different.

The reception staff were friendly, and the hotel was okay. But families with kids should know that children over four are charged the adult rate, even when you don't ask for an extra bed. You end up paying more for the same services, so keep that in mind when travelling with children.

After a month of travelling around Japan, being able to wash and dry my clothes in the apartment was such a treat that I added another night. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, spoke impeccable English, and showed me how to use the washer. Each apartment has a kitchen with an induction cooktop, refer, microwave, sink, and some pots and pans. It's a very new, amazing apartment hotel, quiet but close to the hustle and excitement of Asakusa. This place was a happy find, and I can't say enough good things about it.

It's a quiet area, but still not far from anything. The staff are lovely, and I'd definitely stay here again.
