Everything was brand new and very clean, and you could feel the owner's kindness in little ways around the place. I just wish there were more storage for personal things like clothes.

With two floors, a pair of bathrooms, a sofa, and room for storage, it felt like a palace compared with other Japanese hotels. The location near Shinjuku was convenient, and I loved it.

At first glance the room seemed tidy, but looking more closely I found dust behind the microwave. The air conditioner and heater were extremely dirty, and their dust filter clearly hadn't been cleaned regularly. The surface looked clean enough, while the grime underneath was obvious.
