The staff were especially friendly and helpful, and the place was peaceful thanks to good noise reduction. My room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and the daily housekeeping did a wonderful job. I had a great stay and highly recommend it.

JR Shin Okubo is right outside the property, and there are loads of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, including Family mart, 7e, and lawson, plus DonDonki for everyday and shopping needs. Shinjuku is one stop away by train, about three minutes, or you can walk there in ten. We had a pleasant five-night stay in Tokyo as a family of four adults at the Shin Okubo branch. Special thanks to the Taiwanese Aunty / Owner for the superb hospitality. Aunty speaks many languages, so communication was no problem. I’d recommend this place to anyone travelling to Tokyo!

It’s a six-minute walk from the house to the subway, and the local residential area has shopping for everyday supplies. It also seems like a great spot to enjoy Sakura. I forgot to take photos during my stay at Tokyo Lai's House, but the rooms really do look exactly like the listing photos. You have to pay a deposit, which the owner returns when you arrive and begin your stay. It’s meant to protect against last-minute cancellations. I paid without a second thought. Guaranteed, not a scammer. It was one of the best places I’ve stayed!
